Roster 2023-2024: James Hellens
Defensive lynchpin James Hellens is the latest name to be inked onto the Stars squad list for the coming season, a vital piece of the jigsaw as James deservedly picked up Best Defenceman at last year’s end-of-season awards ceremony after a standout year. Still just 21-years-old, James has fast become one of the most reliable and consistent defencemen in the League, an imposing blue liner who has developed his game massively over the past two seasons. He has a cannon of a shot in his game, which means he carries an offensive threat and has scored some critical goals, none more so than the overtime winner to defeat Solway Sharks at the Forum in September. Stars are delighted to welcome James back to the Billingham blue line!
