Roster 2023-2024: Iain Brown

Billingham are delighted to reveal a brand-new Star today as Iain Brown is added to the roster as the team’s third ‘import’. Canadian Iain, a 22-year-old forward, is the cousin of Stars netminder Thomas and joins him on Teesside following three seasons in the Provincial Junior Hockey League (PJCHL), the third tier of junior hockey in Ontario (Canadian Junior C). His time there was split between Port Hope Panthers, North Kawartha Knights and lastly Frankford Huskies in the Tod Division. The PJCHL is also home to Stayner Siskins, where former Stars coach Tom Brown and import Kevin Boyd plied their trade before coming over the Pond. Iain was also part of the Peterborough Petes AAA setup at U16 and U18.

Having finished his junior hockey career, Iain is coming to the Forum to make an impact in the NIHL as a goal scorer. He trained with his new teammates towards the back end of last season and is excited at the prospect of performing in front of the fans and hopefully helping to bring success to the Stars. Iain will wear the number 91 jersey.
