Roster 2023-2024: Chris Sykes
Billingham Stars pick up the pace of their preseason preparations by announcing the return of top scorer and offensive lynchpin Chris Sykes. The name many fans will be looking for as the Stars reveal their roster, Sykesy has been a huge part of the squad for almost a decade now, despite still being just 31 years old. A long career started in his hometown of Sheffield as Sykesy worked his way through the Steel City’s junior system before turning out for the Scimitars and Steeldogs in the EPL. A short stint at Sutton Sting preceded Sykesy’s move north, and he has been at the forefront of the Billingham offensive threat ever since. Top points scorer yet again last season, Sykesy is the player the opposition hate to see line up on game day and there is no doubt that will continue this coming campaign.
