Statement from Both Clubs

 An incident occurred in the post-game handshake line after the above game and both clubs accept that this reflects badly on the teams and the League.

We acknowledge the seriousness of the incident and, after discussions with representatives of DOPS and NIHL management, appreciate how footage of such incidents on social media can impact the reputation of the League and sport.

In addition to the players issued with suspensions by DOPS, both clubs have taken internal measures to address the incident and all players are aware that any repetition will have significant consequences.
